Its been a long while coming but finally its happen. BMW Brunei has gotten its own website and even gone a step further to participate in Facebook. I think its a fantastic move forward by QAF and shows they are striving to better the facilities and services offered. The silver star across the road and even Vorsprung Durch have had theirs for a while now......so long overdue. Maybe next they will consider providing some form of BMW driver training?

BMW Technology = No Toyota Like Recall!!!
With the recent eruption of Recall's for Toyota's worldwide, it must leave plenty of BMW owners curious of whether the same would apply to their BMWs. To put some of your anxiety at ease, here is an article from BMWBLOG, regarding stuck accelerators/gas pedals.
Coincidence? Think not......this is the sort of confidence and peace of mind your BMW will bring.

BMW X5 LCI
The X5 LCI version has been launched and should be arriving sometime 3rd to 4th quarter of the year. The X5 still is the benchmark of SAVs and SUVs. Handling is brilliant and you would never guess it was a 2 ton car. This LCI version will sport a new lower front and rear bumper, slightly different tail lights and most importantly will come with the mouth watering 3.0litre twin scroll turbo......yummy!!!

BMW X1 2.0D
The recent launch of the BMW X1 was quite a extravagant do(Brunei Standard). I guess its to combat the recent flurry of launches by Nissan, Audi and Mercedes.
Having seen and tested the car, i have come to conclusion its definitely aiming at the first timer and young BMW owners. The 2.0D diesel burner pumps out a healthy torque of 350NM, which is kinda expected for Beemers nowadays. Noise insulation is rather poor, made even worse with the rumblings of this particular engine. Handling isn't all that exciting. It retains the 1series coupe sportier(stiffer) steering characteristics expect with a higher sitting position. Cabin space is good, with the trimmings and quality everyone has come to expect. Not much options included in the basic model in town.
Overall, most likely to appeal to the younger market who wants something different. Will save you a couple of bucks at the pumps but not likely to give you any excitement from driving.
Been Away....again, but I'm Back!!!
Been occupied again for past few months. But back now.....i hope.
